Yoga Class Styles

HATHA

A slow flow of postures which are held for longer periods of time, focusing on mindfulness to explore deeper alignment principles, developing strength, resilience, flexibility and equanimity. Hands-on assists are offered in this class.

VinYASA

Atha Vinyasa is a vigorous, heated practice, moving through yoga postures in a dance-like flow. It involves the integration of breath with movement. This is a more advanced practice so previous experience is recommended.

RAJA

Atha Raja Yoga is a restorative, all-levels, heated practice. Postures are held for extended periods of time allowing for muscular disengagement and a complete surrender to gravity. The practice is meditative with a focus on breath and relaxation.

HATHA TO RAJA

The first 45 minutes of this class is Hatha yoga in which postures are held for longer periods of time, focusing on correct alignment, strengthening, and flexibility. The second half of this class moves into a restorative Raja yoga practice with a focus on meditation, breath, and muscular disengagement.

KUNDALINI

Kundalini Yoga is a sacred and ancient science and technology. With ancient roots in the yogic scriptures, Kundalini Yoga is an all-encompassing practice that includes the yoga paths of Hatha Yoga, Shakti Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga, Laya Yoga, and Mantra Yoga. It is a powerful energetic practice of mind, body, and spirit consisting of yoga postures (asana), dynamic breathwork (pranayama), hand gestures (mundra), eye focus (drishti), body locks (bhandas), meditation, mantras to elevate consciousness, and deep relaxation.

MEDITATIVE FLOW

Atha Morning Practice is a gentle yet liberating flow to open up the mind and body. All levels are welcome to this heated class.
