Girls Night Out at atha yoga shala
If heaven had an address it would clearly be 2219 Seacrest Boulevard.
The reason is that Atha Yoga Shala is at this Delray location. You may not be able to see it from the road, but this hidden gem of health and wellness is unlike anywhere you’ve ever been.
Just walk through the back door of the lobby and you’ll be in the most luxurious five acres of Mother Nature’s bounty you’ve ever seen.
This blissful space has lush greenery, towering trees, hidden pathways and open spaces for yoga and other healing-based classes and events.
It really is an oasis of tranquility in the midst of the city.
That was the intention of founder Cindy Pettinaro. This woman, who sparkles with goodness and clarity, took a parcel of land and infused it with the grand scheme of making it a place to soar.
That’s why they have yoga classes, sound healing, spa treatments, special events and spiritual teachers that create goodwill, healthy living and stress reduction.

We were faced with important decisions – should we have a massage, do yoga, sound healing, have a mini- facial, meditate or just hang out in the Atha Retreat House.
After doing yoga and sound healing (that mixed meditation with ethereal sweetness) it was time to retreat to the retreat house. This cozy spot had food and beverages to help us through the delights of spiritual ecstasy. Our favorite spa lady, Nancy Regan (of Bella Reina Spa) did mini glow facials.
With the world twirling off its axis, the evening seemed like manna from heaven. Speaking of heaven we also got readings from Atha psychic medium Jackie. A reading from an intuitive like Jackie really moves the needle on the unseen mysteries of matter.
After doing yoga and sound healing (that mixed meditation with ethereal sweetness) there was shopping, healthy drinks, permanent jewelry and float 8 Delray.
Tonya Notaro, COO of the Atha Foundation, also witnessed the glimmer of magic that night.
“Our first girls’ night at Atha Foundation was a beautiful reminder of how powerful it is when women come together to reconnect, recharge and heal.”
“Set on 5 acres in a Costa Rican-inspired oasis, the evening brought meaningful connection in our retreat house sanctuary; creating space for laughter, restoration and community,” added Notaro.
It was a night of kindness, heavenly treatments and health-related classes. Nothing was too difficult (except for having to leave) and the sweetness of generosity permeated the premises.
Every day of the week are yoga classes (heated Vinyasa, Hatha yoga, Kundalini yoga, hot sculpt, group channeling, spa treatments and more.
Their foundation also work with local organizations, schools, and community centers to bring the healing power of yoga.
They recently had a Delray Chamber of Commerce event and one for Impact 100 Women that rocked the house. There was a strolling violinist, fire dancers, wonderful food and savvy shopping vendors.
If you want to experience a sweet reverence for nature (and healing for your body, soul and mind) Atha Yoga Shala is the place to go.
